Troubleshooting Should any of the following indicators appear in the viewfinder or control panel displays, check the list below before consulting your retailer or Nikon representative. Indication Control panel Viewfinder Problem Solution FEE (blinking) FEE (blinking) Lens aperture ring is not set to smallest aperture. Set ring to smallest aperture (largest f-number). See also pg. 6 † Low battery. Ready spare, fully charged battery. pg. 5 †† Battery exhausted. Replace battery. pg. 5 Lens not attached, or Use Nikkor lens (IX attached lens not Nikkor Nikkor excepted) with lens with built-in CPU. built-in CPU, or set pg. 6 F-- F-- camera exposure mode pg. to A or M and adjust 109 aperture with lens aper- ture ring. (blinking) Camera can not focus.
