Get started 7 On-line software updates If software updates over the air are supported by your network, you may also be able to request updates through the device. Downloading software updates may involve the transmission of large amounts of data (network service). Make sure that the device battery has enough power, or connect the charger before starting the update. Get started Insert SIM card and battery Always switch the device off and disconnect the charger before removing the battery. The SIM card and its contacts can be easily damaged by scratches or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting, or removing the card. 1 With the back of the device facing you, lift and remove the back cover (1). 2 Remove the battery (2). 3 Slide the SIM card holder to unlock it (3), and open it (4). 4 Insert the SIM card into the holder with the contact surface facing down (5), and close it (6). 5 Slide the card holder back to lock it (7). 6 Insert the battery (8), and replace the back cover (9).
