With spot metering, the picture can be taken based on the brightness at the center of the monitor without being affected by the light in the background. ESP n 4 Meters the brightness at the center of the monitor and the surrounding area separately to create a picture with balanced brightness. When taking pictures against strong backlight, the center of the picture may appear dark. Only the center of the monitor is metered. Suitable for taking a picture of the subject in the center of the monitor against backlight. Meters the brightness over a wide area with emphasis on the center of the screen.
