When recording with the Onkyo products equipped with an z connector, refer to "Synchronous recording" on page 24. 1 Repeatedly press the INPUT button and select the desired input signal. Select "Digital In 1," "Digital In 2," or "Analog In" for the input source. INPUT Notes: Note the following when using synchronous recording for digital input sources. • Sources other than CDs, MDs, DATs, and DCCs cannot be recorded. • DATs and DCCs cannot be recorded if no start ID is present before audio contents. • Synchronous recording uses a sub-code signal that is contained in the digital output from most player components, and therefore there may be some CD players, MD recorders, or the like where digital synchronous recording is impossible. Preparation • Turn on the DX-R700 (see page 16). • Place a recordable CD-R or CD-RW in the DXR700 (see page 17). • Verify that the input dial and recording selection button of the amplifier are set to the position of the recording source. Proceed to step 3 if you do not wish to adjust the recording level. 2 Start playback of the recording source. 3 Press the o REC button. Notes:
Note the following when using synchronous
recording for digital input sources.

Place a recordable CD-R or CD-RW in the DX-
R700 (see page 17).
Verify that the input dial and recording selection
button of the amplifier are set to the position of
the recording source.
Proceed to step 6 if you do not wish to adjust
the recording level.
Proceed to step 3 if you do not wish to adjust
the recording level.
