Erasing recordings (CD-RW discs only) If CD TEXT is not written on the disc TOC erasing begins. If CD TEXT is written on the disc "Name Load?" appears in the display. • To make CD TEXT retained in the DX-R700, press the YES button, which initiates the TOC erasing. After TOC is erased, CD TEXT is retained in the DX-R700. Note: New disc identification data will overwrite any existing data retained in the DX-R700. • If you do not wish to make CD TEXT retained in the DX-R700, press the EDIT/NO button, which initiates the TOC erasing. After TOC is erased "PMA Writing" appears in the display and the DXR700 will stop. To force to stop erasing Press and hold the e STOP button for 10 seconds. Remember that the disc is not normally erased and must be fully erased (see below) before it is used. Erasing entire disc 1 Insert the CD-RW to be erased. 2 Press the EDIT/NO button and turn the MULTI JOG dial until "Initialize?" appears. EDIT/ NO MULTI JOG PUSH TO ENTER 3 Press the MULTI JOG dial. Pressing the YES button provides the same operation. "Initialize??" appears. MULTI JOG PUSH TO ENTER 4 Press the MULTI JOG dial. Pressing the YES button provides the same operation. A display conforming the erase appears and erasing begins. The time remaining for the erase appears. This process requires an amount of time equal to about one half of the total recording time of the disc. When the erasing is completed, "Blank Disc" appears. MULTI JOG PUSH TO ENTER Stopping an erase Press the e STOP button for approx. 10 seconds. The recording will not properly be erased, so be sure to perform the erase again. 37

Insert the CD-RW to be erased.

Press the EDIT/NO button and turn the
MULTI JOG dial until “Initialize?” appears.

operation.

To make CD TEXT retained in the DX-R700,
press the YES button, which initiates the TOC
erasing. After TOC is erased, CD TEXT is
retained in the DX-R700.
Note:
New disc identification data will overwrite any
existing data retained in the DX-R700.
If you do not wish to make CD TEXT retained in
the DX-R700, press the EDIT/NO button, which
initiates the TOC erasing.
After TOC is erased
PMA Writing
appears in the display and the DX-
R700 will stop.
To force to stop erasing
Press and hold the
e
STOP button for 10 seconds.
Remember that the disc is not normally erased and
must be fully erased (see below) before it is used.
Stopping an erase
Press the
e
STOP button for approx. 10 seconds.
The recording will not properly be erased, so be sure
to perform the erase again.
