Using Basic Functions Using the Listening Modes Selecting Listening Modes See "Listening Modes" for detailed information about the listening modes (➔ page 24). ■ Listening Mode Buttons MOVIE/TV button This button selects the listening modes intended for use with movies and TV. MUSIC button This button selects the listening modes intended for use with music. GAME button This button selects the listening modes intended for use with video games. STEREO button This button selects the Stereo listening mode and All Channel Stereo listening mode. Press RECEIVER first. MUSIC MOVIE/TV • The Dolby Digital and DTS listening modes can only be selected if your Blu-ray Disc/DVD player is connected to the AV receiver with a digital audio connection (coaxial, optical, or HDMI). • The listening modes you can select depends on the format of the input signal. To check the format, see "Displaying Source Information" (➔ page 27). • While a pair of headphones is connected, you can select the following listening modes: Mono, Direct, and Stereo. • While Speakers A and B are on, you can select only the Direct, Stereo, Mono, or T-D (Theater-Dimensional) listening mode. This surround system has five main channels of sound and a sixth subwoofer channel (called the point-one channel). This is 7.1-channel surround sound. MOVIE/TV button
This button selects the listening modes intended for use

Using the Listening Modes

The Dolby Digital and DTS listening modes can only be
selected if your Blu-ray Disc/DVD player is connected to
the AV receiver with a digital audio connection (coaxial,
optical, or HDMI).

The listening modes you can select depends on the format
