Press the shutter button halfway to focus. • The focus indication 1 (green) lights when the subject is focused. • The AF area 2 is displayed around the subject's face by the face detection function. In other cases, it is displayed at the point on the subject which is in focus. • The focus indication blinks when the subject is not focused. In this case, a picture is not taken. Press the shutter button halfway to focus on the subject again. • The focus range is different depending on used lens. - When 14 - 45 mm/F3.5 - 5.6 lens included in DMC-G1K is used: 0.3 m (0.99 feet) to ¶ Basic 1 2 Press the shutter button fully (push it in further), and take the picture. • A picture is not taken until the subject is brought into focus. • The access indication (P24) lights red when pictures are being recorded on the card.
