Playback (advanced) Connecting to a PC (Mass Storage) • DMC-LC80/DMC-LC70 is illustrated below as an example. A B A AC adaptor (optional, DMW-AC1) B USB connection cable 1 Turn the camera on and then set [USB MODE] to [Mass Storage]. (P95) 2 Connect the camera to a PC via the USB connection cable (supplied). • Align the 2 mark on the USB connection cable and the 1 mark on the [DIGITAL] socket. [Windows] The drive appears on the [My Computer] folder. • If it is the first time you are connecting the camera to a PC, the required driver is installed automatically so that the camera can be recognized by the Windows Plug and Play, then it appears on the [My Computer] folder. [Macintosh] The drive is shown on the screen. ¬Suggestions/Tips ¬ • The status indicator lights during communication. • When connecting to a PC, we recommend using the AC adaptor (optional, DMW-AC1) as the power source. • If the remaining battery power becomes low during communication, the power indicator blinks and the alarm beeps. In this case, stop the communication, because the data may be destroyed. Then turn the camera off and use the following power source. • New batteries • Charged batteries • AC adaptor (optional, DMW-AC1) • Do not use any other USB connection cables except the supplied one. 97
