Chapter 10 Maintenance and Inspection - Warning system Warning system If an error is detected immediately after the camera is turned on or during operation, the viewfinder, LCD monitor, and tally lamp indicate the error. Deal with the error by following the indications. Codec control error occurred. ffTally lamp flashes four times per second. P2 system error occurred. ffTally lamp flashes four times per second. P2CS microcomputer error occurred. ffTally lamp flashes four times per second. Video initialization error occurred. ffTally lamp flashes four times per second. The microP2 memory card whose CPS authentication failed cannot be recorded or played back. Behavior and cause ffThe current operation will continue. ffSelect [AUTHENTICATE] in the main menu → [CLIP], and enter the password. Displays any reduced voltage detected on the backup battery in the internal clock when the power is turned on. ffThe current operation will continue. ffCharge the built-in battery. Displayed when the internal clock setting is reset. ffThe current operation will continue. ffSet the date/time of the internal clock. (page 33) Displayed when an data error caused by the P2 card occurs during recording. Displayed after recording stops until the next operation. Also displayed for three seconds during playback when a P2 card error causes playback to stop. ffIf the error occurs during recording, the tally lamp flashes four times per second for approx. three seconds after recording stops. ffThe tally lamp does not flash when an error occurs during playback. ffThe operation will stop. ffAfter it stops, the P2 card on which the error occurred is write-protected. Replace the P2 card of the slot where the error occurred. The directory position is not correct. ffThe current operation will continue. ffMake a card backup immediately and format the card to use it again. Displayed when the fan motor stops. ffThe current operation will continue. ffIf the fan has stopped with error, stop using the camera immediately and consult your dealer. ffIf the fan has stopped, temperature of the camera will rise. Therefore, do not use the camera for a long period of time. ffThe current operation will continue. The temperature inside the camera is higher than that of ffTurn off the power of the camera, turn it on again, the normal conditions. and check recording and playback operations. If the problem persists, consult your dealer. Playback is interrupted on the SDHC/SDXC memory card.
