If this occurs, turn the sound effects off. Using the equalizer function Using sound effects To enjoy the following sound quality settings, ensure that Surround Music (➜ below) is turned off. Press [EQ]. Each time you press the button: FLAT: Cancel (no effect is added) (factory preset). HEAVY: Adds punch to rock. CLEAR: Clarifies higher sounds. SOFT: For background music. ≥ To check the current setting, press [EQ]. Enjoying sound from all speakers: Surround Music The sound fills the room, and comes from all directions with equal intensity. Press [SRD MUSIC]. Each time you press the button: S.MUSIC ON,------.S.MUSIC OFF Enhancing the sound from the C.FOCUS center speaker: Center Focus This applies to discs where the dialogue is recorded in the center channel. You can make the sound of the center speaker seem like it is coming from within the television. Press [C.FOCUS]. Each time you press the button: C FOCUS ON,------.C FOCUS OFF ≥ This does not work when Surround Music (➜ above) is turned on. ≥ This also works when Dolby Pro Logic II is turned on. Adjusting the amount of bass: Subwoofer level SUBWOOFER LEVEL You can adjust the amount of bass. The unit automatically selects the most suitable setting according to the type of playback source. Press [SUBWOOFER LEVEL]. You can select the level from "SUB W 1" (weakest) to "SUB W 4" (strongest).
