Using sound effects + VOLUME , , , SUBWOOFER LEVEL EQ TEST SRD MUSIC PL /S.SRD C.FOCUS CH SELECT [Note] ≥ The following sound effects may not be available or have no effect with some sources, or when headphones are used (➜ page 11). ≥ You may experience a reduction in sound quality when these sound effects are used with some sources. If this occurs, turn the sound effects off. Using the equalizer function Using sound effects To enjoy the following sound quality settings, ensure that Surround Music (➜ below) is turned off. Press [EQ]. Each time you press the button: FLAT: Cancel (no effect is added) (factory preset). HEAVY: Adds punch to rock. CLEAR: Clarifies higher sounds. SOFT: For background music. ≥ To check the current setting, press [EQ]. Enjoying sound from all speakers: Surround Music The sound fills the room, and comes from all directions with equal intensity. Press [SRD MUSIC]. Each time you press the button: S.MUSIC ON,------.S.MUSIC OFF Enhancing the sound from the C.FOCUS center speaker: Center Focus This applies to discs where the dialogue is recorded in the center channel.
