Recording (Basic) 2 Recording motion pictures ≥ Open the lens cover before turning the unit on. (RAM) (-RW‹VR›) (-RW‹V›) (-R) (-R]DL) 1 Rotate the mode dial to select and open the LCD monitor or extend the viewfinder. 2 Press the recording start/stop button to start recording. ∫ Screen indications A SP R 30min B C 0h00m10s To end the recording Press the recording start/stop button again. ≥ [¥] and [;] are red during recording. Do not move this unit until [;] is green. ≥ The images recorded between pressing the recording start/stop button to start recording and pressing it again to pause recording become one scene. ≥ When about 5 minutes have passed without any operation in recording pause, this unit automatically turns off to save battery life. To use this unit, turn it on again. This power save feature can also be set to [OFF]. (l 31, [POWER SAVE]) A Recording mode B Remaining time left for recording When the remaining time is less than 1 minute, [R 0min] flashes red. C Recording time elapsed Each time the unit enters the recording pause mode, the counter display will be reset to "0h00m00s". ≥ Maximum number of scenes on one side of a disc: 999 Maximum number of dates on one side of a disc: 99 (In some cases, scenes shot on the same day will be recorded with different dates (l 56)) When either of them reaches to the maximum limit, more scenes cannot be recorded. ≥ While motion picture recording is in progress, the recording will not stop even if the LCD monitor is closed and the viewfinder is retracted. 37 LSQT1319
