Drop the machine feed Attach darning foot No 93-040 960-91 Knitted garments and articles made of terry cloth are best darned with wool thread since spots darned wdh this thread are not as titt as those darned with thin embroidery and darning thread. Draw the wool thread through the needle hole of the darning toot and ii to the slot of this toot. The wool thread must be planed under the darning foot (ill right). Run the machine and place the wool thread back and forth acioss the hole, packing thu individual strands closely together Stitch it down on the right and left of the defective area. Oni'e the hole is coven d with the wool thi cad, trirri it Then sew back md forth over the darned area lengtl wisu, using a thin darning thread. Do not spar e the various lines of stitchiiig too closuly since this would make the darn too hard qiv II 42
