Trouser zippers • Press the left front seam allowance over 1I8 (4 mm) narrower than the actual seam allowance. • Baste the zipper under the overlapping edge so that the teeth are still visible. • Engage the zipper foot on the right and set the needle to the required position. • Stitch close to the edge of the zipper teeth. Shortly before the end of the seam, open the zipper and finish sewing the seam. • Close the zipper and baste the overlap evenly onto the other zipper half. • Stitch along the basted seam. Tip: To achieve accurate seams we rec ommend using the edge guide (special accessories). 33

edge
so
that
the
teeth

still

Engage
the
zipper
foot
on
the
right
and
set
the
needle
to
the
required
position.
Stitch
close
to
the
edge
of
the
zipper
teeth.
Close
the
zipper
and
baste
the
overlap
evenly
onto

other
zipper
half.
Stitch
along
