English • Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by, on, or near children or invalids. • NEVER use the humidifier in a closed room, particularly where a child may be sleeping, resting, or playing (for a closed room may result in excessive humidity). • This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the humidifier. • Do not block the air inlet and outlet, by placing items on the air outlet or in front of the air inlet. • Always unwind the power cord completely before you switch on the humidifier. • Always unplug the humidifier from the electrical outlet when not in use. • Use this humidifier for its intended household use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by Philips Electronics North America Corporation. • NEVER drop or insert any object, including fingers, into any opening. • DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used, or where oxygen is being administered. • Do not place the humidifier near heat sources, such as a stove, fireplace or a gas appliance and do not expose the humidifier to direct sunlight. • NEVER use the humidifier in an environment where explosive gases are present. • To disconnect, press the power button to switch off the humidifier, then remove the plug from the electrical outlet. • DO NOT use outdoors. For indoor use only. • Do not use the adapter in or near a power outlet that contains an electric air freshener to prevent damage to the adapter. • Only use the power plug supplied with the humidifier.
