Initial Settings menu 05 Chapter 5 Initial Settings menu Using the Initial Set- tings menu The Initial Settings menu is where you can set preferences for language, audio and video output, and so on. If a menu option is grayed out it means that it cannot be changed at the current time. This is usually because a disc is playing. Stop the disc, then change the setting. 1 Press HOME MENU and select "Initial Settings" from the on-screen display. Audio Settings Play Mode Initial Settings Video Adjust Disc Navigator 2 Select the setup category from the list on the left, then select an item from the menu list to the right. 3 Make the setting you want. Digital Audio Out settings Digital Out You only need to make this setting if you connected this system to an AV receiver (or other component) using the digital output. • Default setting is On. Initial Settings Digital Audio Out Digital Out On Video Output Dolby Digital Out Off Language DTS Out Display 96 kHz PCM Out Option MPEG Out If at any time you need to switch off the digital audio output, set this to Off, otherwise leave it On.
