Using Other Functions MULTI-ROOM set up 1 2 RECEIVER DVD/LD TV/SAT Receiver MAIN SUB REMOTE SETUP DSP STEREO MD/TAPE1 / dts EFFECT THX ADVANCED THEATER STANDARD CD VCR1 MIDNIGHT DIRECT VCR2 DIGITAL NR LOUDNESS SIGNAL SELECT TUNER TV CONTROL 1 Turn on the receiver, your TV and press RECEIVER on the remote control. Make sure your TV is set to the receiver. 2 Press SUB on the receiver screen. 3 Press the SYSTEM SETUP button. The SYSTEM SETUP MENU appears on your remote control screen. If you hook up a just a power amplifier in the sub room the VSX-29TX will act as a pre-amp. In this case choose VARIABLE for the VOLUME LEVEL setting. If you hook up a full integrated amplifier in the sub room (such as another Pioneer VSX receiver) choose FIXED for the VOLUME LEVEL setting. OK CONTROL 6 Select the IR RECEIVER type. If you have the Pioneer-made MR-100 select PIONEER. If you have an IR RECEIVER from a different company, select OTHERS. 7 Press SETUP OK. This message will appear in the receiver's display. If "ERROR" flashes in the display, perform the setup operations from the first step again. Check with a PIONEER representative to be sure. 66 CAUTION! If the MULTI ROOM is set to FIXED the volume on the main unit will be set to maximum. Thus, when output, it will be extremely loud. Please set the master volume controls of the integrated amplifier in the sub room very low at first and experiment to find the correct volume.
