09 Controlling the rest of your system The LCD display will show OK if the operation has been learned. If for some reasons the operation hasn't been learned the LCD will display ERROR for three seconds and then display PRES KEY again. If this happens, keep pressing the (teaching) button as you vary the distance between the two remotes, until the LCD display shows OK. To program additional operations for the current component repeat steps 4 and 5. To program operations for another component exit and repeat steps 1 through 5. 6 Press and hold the REMOTE SETUP button for three seconds to store the operation(s). • Some commands from other remote controls cannot be learned, but in most cases the remotes just need to be moved closer together or farther apart. • Certain buttons represent operations that cannot be learned from other remote controls. These include: MULTI CONTROL, RECEIVER , REMOTE SETUP, RECEIVER CONTROL and MASTER VOLUME. • TV CONTROL buttons (TV , TV VOL +/-, and TV INPUT) can only be learned after selecting TV or TVC. Erasing one of the remote control button settings This erases one of the buttons you have programmed and restores the button to the factory default. 1 Press REMOTE SETUP and hold for three seconds. The LCD display shows SETUP. 2 Press the MULTI CONTROL button relating to the button setting to be erased. 3 Prepare the remote to erase the button setting. Use } and ] to select ERASE and then press REMOTE SETUP. The LCD display flashes PRES KEY. 4 Press and hold the button to be erased for three seconds. The LCD display shows OK to confirm the button has been erased or NO CODE if an error has occurred. 5 Repeat step 4 to erase other buttons. 6 Press and hold the REMOTE SETUP button for two seconds to exit.
