Setting the Flash Amount in Manual Flash Mode (Man. Flash Amount) You can set the internal flash amount when the flash mode is set to [Manual Flash] (GP.51). The flash amount can be set at [Full] or [1/1.4], [1/2], [1/2.8], [1/4], [1/5.6], [1/8], [1/11], [1/16], [1/22], [1/32] of the maximum amount. 1 Displaying the shooting menu. 1 • For the operating procedure, see P.103. 2 Press the " button to select [Man. Flash Amount] and press the $ button. 3 Press the !" buttons to select the desired setting. Various Shooting Functions 4 Press the MENU/OK button. • The setting appears on the screen when the flash mode is set to [Manual Flash]. Note The value set in [Man. Flash Amount] is available only when the flash mode is set to [Manual Flash]. (GP.51) • When the flash mode is set to [Manual Flash], the [Man. Flash Amount] setting will be enabled, the [Flash Expo.Comp.] setting will no longer be enabled. • The [Man. Flash Amount] setting and the actual flash amount may differ slightly in some cases. Caution The flash amount is not adjusted automatically when the flash mode is set to [Manual Flash]. Do not fire the flash near eyes (especially of infants) or at people who are driving, etc. 125
