Using the AC Adapter (sold separately) When shooting or viewing still images for a long time, or when connecting to your computer, use of the AC adapter (sold separately) is recommended. If you have already used this camera, make sure it is turned off before loading the AC adapter. 1 Slide the release lever toward "OPEN" to open the battery/ 1 card cover. Appendices 2 2 Insert the AC adapter. • When the AC adapter is loaded in place, it is locked with the hook shown in the figure. 3 Open the power (DC input) cable cover and place the cable outside. 4 Close the battery/card cover and slide the release lever in the opposite direction of 7 "OPEN" to lock it in place. 5 Plug the power cord into an outlet. 250 Caution • When closing the battery/card cover, slide the release lever and be sure to lock it in place. • Be sure to attach the AC cable and plug the power cord into the outlet firmly. • When you are not using the camera, unplug the AC adapter from the camera and the power outlet. • If you disconnect the AC adapter from the camera or the plug from the outlet while the camera is in use, data may be lost. • If you are using the AC adapter, may appear. This does not indicate a malfunction and you can continue to use the camera. • When using the AC adapter, do not carry the camera by the cable of the AC adapter.
