ADDITIONAL PROCEDURES ADDITIONAL PROCEDURES Scanning Images to the PC (Function 16) Secure PC Interface Option Ref.: Ricoh SFX2000M Secure PC Interface User Guide When this option is installed in the SFX2000M Function 16 becomes available to scan multi-page documents to your PC. A description of the installation, operation and use of this option is found in the SFX2000M Secure PC Interface User Guide, furnished with the option. Scanning a document from the fax machine is like sending a fax message to your PC. The transaction will be reported in the "TX" section of the SFX2000M Journal. The Journal can be printed with Function 41 (see page 69) or User Function key F1 (page 28). You can turn TTI off with a programmed User Function key. Consult your PC faxing application manual for specific procedures and recommendations. • Make sure your PC faxing application is running, and that it is set to receive automatically. • At the SFX2000M select resolution and halftone. Fine resolution is not available. If it is selected the resolution will default to Detail. Ready READY COMPATIBLE 10:00AM MODE06 Place the document face down. MODE Y/NEXTf 16 SCANNER MODE Press Yes SCANNER MODE PUSH START Press Start NOW COMMUNICATING A4 --> A4 TRANSMIT The NOW COMMUNICATING message alternates with the PC ID if it has been programmed.
