Any such alteration or modification is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition leading to possible serious personal injury. ASSEMBLING THE HANDLE See Figure 1, page 11. CAUTION: Be careful to avoid pinching your fingers or hands when installing the handle onto the frame. Insert the lower handles into the holes on each side of the upper handle as shown. Push and hold the push-pin button on the lower handles. Slide the lower handles into the upper handle until the buttons snap into one of the holes. NOTE: Shorten or lengthen the handle assembly by selecting different holes. ATTACHING THE HANDLE ASSEMBLY See Figures 2 - 4, page 11. Loosen and remove the handle lock knobs from the posts on both sides of the sweeper. Slide the handle assembly onto the posts. NOTE: The smooth side of the handle assembly should face away from the post as shown in figure 4. Replace the adjustment knobs and tighten to secure the handle assembly in place. Do not overtighten. Position handle assembly in a comfortable operating position, between the front and rear detents. NOTE: If it is difficult to move the handle assembly, loosen the handle lock knobs. If the handle assembly is too loose, tighten the adjustment knobs. WARNING: To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the tool when assembling parts. 6 - English
