OPERATION WARNING: Do not allow conductive or corrosive fluids to get inside the battery pack. If conductive or corrosive fluids are spilled on the battery, refer to the instructions in your battery operators manual. NOTICE: It is important to thoroughly clean the unit after each use. Allowing liquid to remain in an idle tool for an extended period may cause its moving pieces and connectors to seize up. NOTICE: Remove tank and fill away from sprayer. Clean the exterior of the tank and clean up any spillage before replacing tank. When adding spray solutions, you may add water and the desired chemical solution directly into the tank, or use a solution that has been premixed in a separate container, then poured into the sprayer, using a funnel if needed. For either method, remember: Liquids used must be as thin as water. Thicker liquids will not spray properly. Do not overfill the tank. NOTE: If using a measuring container or funnel to fill the tank, be sure to thoroughly clean and rinse these items after use. If premixing the spraying solution, rinse the container used for mixing. To fill: Turn electrostatic function off and remove the battery from the unit. Place sprayer with tank on a flat surface. Unlock the latches securing the tank to the sprayer. Lift the sprayer off the tank. Unscrew the cap and remove it from the tank. Fill the tank with the desired amount of liquid (up to 33.8 oz.). NOTE: To ensure proper operation of the sprayer, do not fill past the 1 L line. Screw the cap back onto the tank, making sure it is tightened securely. NOTE: Wipe the outside of the tank with a dry cloth and clean up any spills before installing the tank. Place tank on flat surface. Place sprayer on top of tank. Lock the latches to secure the tank in place. Reinstall the battery pack. INSTALLING/REMOVING BATTERY PACK See Figure 6, page 14. Insert the battery pack into the product as shown. Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack snap in place and the battery pack is secured in the product before beginning operation. Turn electrostatic function off before removing the battery from the unit Depress the latches to remove the battery pack. For complete charging instructions, see the operator's manuals for your battery pack and charger. LED WORKLIGHT See Figure 7, page 14. The built-in LED worklight is convenient when working in close or tight areas where additional light is needed. Whenever the switch trigger is depressed, the LED worklight will illuminate. TURNING THE SPRAYER ON/OFF See Figure 7, page 14. To turn the sprayer ON, depress the switch trigger. To turn the sprayer OFF, release the switch trigger. USING THE ELECTROSTATIC FUNCTION See Figures 8 - 9, page 14. This sprayer can be used with or without electrostatic charging. When the electrostatic feature is turned off, the droplets in the spray will remain inside the spray area until they are absorbed or wiped away. When the electrostatic feature is turned on, the droplets in the spray are given a positive electrical charge. Each charged droplet adheres to the surface being sprayed while simultaneously repelling and spreading apart from one another. As the droplets spread apart, they will expand beyond the spray area and cover more of the target surface. The droplets will maintain their distance until they are absorbed or wiped away. NOTE: Turn the electrostatic feature off, if you want to concentrate a large amount of spray in a small area. Turn the electrostatic feature on, if you want to evenly apply product over a large area. To activate electrostatic mode: Slide switch located on top of unit to ON position. To deactivate electrostatic mode: Slide switch located on top of unit to OFF position. 8 - English
