troubleshooting Recording Symptom Explanation/Solution The recording stops automatically. • There is no more free space for recording on the storage media. Back up important files on your PC and format the storage media or delete unnecessary files. • If you use a memory card with a low write speed, the camcorder automatically stops recording videos and the corresponding message appears on the LCD screen. When recording a subject illuminated by bright light, vertical lines appear. • The camcorder is unable to record at these levels of brightness. Record in an area that is not as bright. When the screen is exposed to direct sunlight during recording, the screen turns red or black for an instant. • This is not a malfunction. Do not expose the camcorder to direct sunlight. You don't hear the beep sound. • Set the "Beep Sound" to "On." ¬page 59 • The beep sound is temporally off while recording videos. There is a time difference between the point where you touch Recording start ( ) /stop ( ) tab and the point where the recorded video starts/stops. • On your camcorder, there may be a slight time delay between the time when you touch Recording start ( ) /stop ( ) tab and the actual time when the recorded video starts/stops.
