Section 4 Navigating Your PDA Your i730 provides the power of a personal computer with exceptional portability and integration. Unlocking its power begins with customizing the i730 so that it becomes an extension of your desktop or laptop computer. The i730 is powered by Windows Mobile 2003 Software for Pocket PC Phone Edition, providing the power and familiarity of Microsoft Windows. Pocket versions of popular Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Windows Media Player® and Outlook® eliminate the need to learn new software. Menu Types There are two menus available in the i730 menu options. They include the following: • Start Menu • New Menu. The Start menu contains links to all the applications and settings information, similar to a Windows based PC system. To access the Start menu, simply use the stylus to tap in the upper left corner of the screen on the word Start. A menu list is displayed, and from this pull down type menu, all other applications and settings can be accessed. 46
