Operation 1. Connect the unit to the PC using the Parallel port Adapter as shown in Fig. 17. Parallel port or port DIGITAL I/O jack DIGITAL I/O cable Fig. 17 2. When the "PC Memo Scriber" program is properly started on the PC, "PC CONNECT" appears on the display and the control buttons on the unit will not function. Enrolling/Transcribing a data file (using ViaVoice) ViaVoice is not supplied and please purchase the ViaVoice. Enrolling 1. Disconnect the DIGITAL I/O cable. 2. Connect one end of the audio cable to the EAR jack and the other end to the LINE-IN jack on the PC. 3. Press the n button to turn on the power. 19

Operation
1.
Connect the unit to the PC using the Parallel port Adapter as shown in
Fig. 17.
2.
Press the
n
button to turn on the power.
3.
Operate your PC. (Follow the instructions on the CD-ROM.)
When the “PC Memo Scriber” program is properly started on the PC,
“PC CONNECT” appears on the display and the control buttons on the
unit will not function.
Enrolling/Transcribing a data file
(using ViaVoice)
ViaVoice is not supplied and please purchase the ViaVoice.
Enrolling
1.
Disconnect the DIGITAL I/O cable.
2.
Connect one end of the audio cable to the EAR jack and the other end
to the LINE-IN jack on the PC.
3.
Press the
n
button to turn on the power.
