POWER SUPPLY Batteries 1. Open the battery compartment lid. 2. Install two "AAA" batteries. Observe proper polarity. 1 2 Fig. 3 Battery indicator ( ) The line of rectangles is the battery gauge. Black rectangles show the battery condition. : Full, good condition or ("LOW BATT" appears.): Weak or exhausted batteries, must be replaced. CAUTION: Remove the batteries if the unit will not be used for a month or longer. IMPORTANT NOTE: SPENT OR DISCHARGED BATTERIES MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY IN COMPLIANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS. FOR DETAILED INFORMATION, CONTACT YOUR LOCAL COUNTY SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY. AC adaptor Connect the AC adaptor (SANYO Model No. 3CV-120US, not supplied) to the EXT DC 3V jack. Install two “AAA” batteries. Observe proper polarity.
