10.4 vgc-diags vgc-diags utility saves support information, such as log files, system configuration, device configuration, and device metadata into a single file named vgc.diags.tar. Seagate recommends running vgc-diags immediately after encountering any technical issues. Please send the vgc.diags.tar file to Seagate technical support whenever requesting technical assistance. # vgc-diags --help vgc-diags: 3.2.55402.C7 Utility to capture Seagate X8 Accelerator diagnostics Usage: vgc-diags -p|--outputpath [-v|--verbose] [device list] vgc-diags [-h|--help] Options: -h| --help : display this help and exit -v| --verbose : verbose, dumps quite detailed information -p| --outputpath : Directory to save the diags file device list : list of devices in the format vgc[a,b, ---] : default is all X8 Accelerator devices detected in the system The "-v" option results in support file size growing to several gigabytes in size. NOTE Do not use the "-v" option unless requested by Seagate support engineer. Example. Saving diagnostics information for all devices: # vgc-diags Example.
