Basic adjustment settings You can adjust the sound quality to your preference with the following settings, SETUP/TVMENU DVDMENU Press TV MENU and the MENU screen displays, Press 4/1_ to select _ (AUDIO). AUDIO MTS TREBLE BALANCE SPEAKERS V STEREO 25 D ON =_qSELECT _qADJUST Press ,&/V to select a specific adjustment item (BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE). Press 4/1_ to adjust the item to the desired level. BASS TREBLE BALANCE For weaker bass For weaker treble Decrease audio from the right speaker For stronger bass For stronger treble Decrease audio from the left speaker Press EXIT to return to the normal screen. You can output digital audio to an AV amplifier or similar device whose DIGITAL AUDIO INPUT terminal is connected to the COAXIAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT terminal on the TV/DVD. Please select an audio output format compatible with the audio format of the program you are watching and the equipment connected. Press TV MENU and the MENU screen displays. Press "_/1_ to select #_ (AUDIO). Press A/V to select "DIGITAL OUTPUT". Press 4/_ to select "PCM" or "DOLBY DIGITAL". AUDIO AUDIO LANGUAGE RESET {_:SELECT ,_:ADJUST PCM DOLBY DIGITAL The coaxial digital audio output terminal outputs audio signal in PCM form. If your digital audio system does not support Doiby Digital, select "PCM". The coaxial digital audio output terminal outputs audio signal in Dolby Digital form. It reproduces sound from surround program of digital. Press EXIT to return to the normal screen. For resetting all Audio adjustment items to the factory preset values, press A/V to select "RESET", and then press _/_. (see page 28 for further information). (_)= 24
