con v ection automatic mi x features Broil Broil automatically broils hamburgers, chicken breast, steaks and pork chops. • Suppose you want to broil 2 hamburgers. PROCEDURE DISPLAY 1 Broil Touch Broil pad. SELECT FOOD NUMBER 2 1 Touch number pad. (Ex: for hamburgers, touch 1.) HAM- BURGERS USE LOW RACK HOW MANY PRESS NUMBER 3 2 Touch number pad to enter quantity. (Ex: 2.) Follow information in display for cooking information. 2 NO FOOD FOR PRESS IN OVEN MEDIUM START For well done or rare burgers, touch Power Level pad to select More for well done or Less for rare. See More or Less Time Adjustment on page 26. 4 START Touch On PREHEAT MIX CONV COOK LBS KG T.T OFF HELP Touch START/Touch On pad. After broil preheat cycle ends, 4 long tones will sound. PREHEAT OVER PLACE FOOD IN OVEN will be displayed repeatedly. Open the door and place hamburgers into oven. Close the door. START 5 Touch On Touch START/Touch On pad. After broil cycle ends, 1 long tone will sound and ENJOY will be displayed. NOTE: 1. Broil can be programmed with More or Less Time Adjustment. See page 26. 2. If you attempt to enter more or less than the allowed weight ERROR WEIGHT TOO LARGE PRESS CLEAR or ERROR WEIGHT TOO SMALL PRESS CLEAR will appear in the display. If you enter more than the allowed number ERROR TOO MANY PRESS CLEAR will appear in the display. 3. To broil other foods or foods above or below the weight or number allowed on the chart below, follow instructions in the Sharp Carousel Convection Microwave Cookbook. See Broiling Chart. Broil Chart S etting / F ood 1. Hamburgers 2. Chicken Breast (Boneless) A mount 1 - 8 pieces 1/4 lb each 0.5 - 2.0 lb P rocedure Use this setting to broil hamburger patties. Place on low rack. Arrange pieces on low rack. After cooking, let stand, 3-5 minutes. White meat should be 170˚F. 3. Steaks 0.5 - 2.0 lb Use this setting to broil steaks from 3/4" to 1" thick. Individual boneless steaks broil evenly. Place steak on low rack. For well done, touch Power Level once; for rare, touch Power Level twice, in step 3 above. 4. Pork Chops (Boneless) 0.5 - 2.0 lb Use this setting to broil pork chops that are 3/4" to 1" thick. Place on low rack. 25
