Assembly Attaching the Side Mounted Discharge Deflector A WARNING: To prevent the engine from starting, disconnect the wire from the spark plug. For shipping purposes, the side deflector was not installed. Locate the side deflector and install as follows. 1. Raise the mulcher cover (A, Figure 10). 2. Attach the side deflector (B). Make sure the lock- ing tabs (C) go through the slots in the side deflector. 3. Lower the mulcher cover (A, Figure 11). 4. Attach the wire to the spark plug. Attaching the Side Mounted Discharge

WARNING:

For shipping purposes, the side deflector was not
installed. Locate the side deflector and install as fol-
lows.
1. Raise the mulcher cover (A, Figure 10).
2. Attach the side deflector (B). Make sure the lock-
ing tabs (C) go through the slots in the side deflec-
tor.
3. Lower the mulcher cover (A, Figure 11).
4. Attach the wire to the spark plug.
