Guidance and manufacturer's declaration - electromagnetic immunity The MCC-1000MD is intended for use in the electromagnetic environment specified below. The customer or the user of the MCC-1000MD should assure that it is used in such an environment. Immunity test IEC 60601 test level Compliance Electromagnetic environment - level guidance Electrostatic ±8 kV contact discharge (ESD) IEC 61000-4-2 ±15 kV air ±8 kV contact ±15 kV air Floors should be wood, concrete or ceramic tile. If floors are covered with synthetic material, a relative humidity of at least 30% is recommended. Electrical fast transient/burst ±2 kV for power supply lines ±2 kV for power Mains power quality should be supply lines that of a typical commercial or hospital environment. IEC 61000-4-4 ±1 kV for input/ output lines ±1 kV for input/ output lines Surge ±1 kV line(s) to line(s) ±1 kV Mains power quality should be differential mode that of a typical commercial or hospital environment. IEC 61000-4-5 ±2 kV line(s) to earth ±2 kV common mode Voltage dips, short interruptions and voltage variations on power supply input lines IEC 61000-4-11 0% UT (100% dip in UT) for 0.5/1 cycles a 40% UT (60% dip in UT) for 5 cycles 70% UT (30% dip in UT) for 25/30 cycles a (for 0.5 sec) 0% UT Mains power quality should be (100% dip in UT) that of a typical commercial or for 0.5/1 cycles a hospital environment. If the user of the MCC-1000MD requires 40% UT continued operation during (60% dip in UT) power mains interruptions, it is for 5 cycles recommended that the MCC-1000MD be powered from 70% UT an uninterruptible power supply (30% dip in UT) or a battery. for 25/30 cycles a (for 0.5 sec) 0% UT (100% dip in UT) for 250/300 cycles a (for 5 sec) 0% UT (100% dip in UT) for 250/300 cycles a (for 5 sec) Power frequency (50/60 Hz) magnetic field 30 A/m IEC 61000-4-8 30 A/m Power frequency magnetic fields should be at levels characteristic of a typical location in a typical commercial or hospital environment. NOTE: UT is the a.c. mains voltage prior to application of the test level. a For example, 10/12 means 10 cycles at 50 Hz or 12 cycles at 60 Hz. 6
