4 Move cursor to the desired mode. MODE SET [PAGE 1] menus AUTO ANT SEL (Automatic Antenna Selector) •If your TV is not equipped with video/audio inputs Set to ON. When playing back a tape, the picture is automatically displayed on the screen simply by selecting the channel for the VCR on the TV. To watch TV programs selected on the TV, press ANT TVNTR to turn off the VTR indicator in the display window. •If your TV is equipped with video/audio inputs Set to OFF. When playing back a tape, select the input for the VCR on the TV. To watch TV programs selected on the TV, simply select the tuner input. AUTO STEREO If a stereo program received is noisy, set to OFF. The program is recorded in monaural but noise may be reduced. CLOCK DISPLAY To erase the current date and time from on-screen display, set to OFF. DIMMER To dim the display window, set to ON. NORMAL AUDIO When there is a SAP (Second Audio Program) broadcast, select SAP to record the SAP sound on the normal audio track. For details, see page 41. BACK COLOR Select the background color on the screen when no picture is displayed or the menu display is shown on the screen. BL. . . blue GR. . . green PK. . .pink MODE SET [PAGE 2] menus TIMER TITLE If you do not want to record a timer title consisting of date of recording, etc. on the tape before timer recording, set to OFF. For details, see page 51. TIMER REC - REWIND To automatically rewind the tape to recording start point after timer recording, set to ON. For details, see page 46. AUDIO MIX To listen to the sounds recorded on both the hi-fi video track and the normal audio track of the audioinserted tape, set to ON.
