When changing or canceling a timer recording, or operating the unit before a timer recording starts, press this button to get out of timer recording standby mode. 2 ANT TV/VTR button Press so that the VTR indicator lights to watch a program selected on the VCR. To watch one TV program while recording another, press this button again to turn off the indicator. [E INPUT SELECT button Press so that the desired input mode indicator appears in the display window to select the program to be recorded. The indicator changes as follows. TUNER 2 (channel number) LINE Ll { LINE L21 4 4 REC MODE button Press to select the recording tape speed, SP or ER -5-1 CHANNEL + I - buttons Press to select the preset channels. Press + to advance and - to reverse. 6 TRACKING AUTO/MANUAL button Press to reactivate the automatic tracking function after adjusting tracking manually. M TRACKING NORMAL/SLOW and STILL ADJUST buttons Press either of the buttons to clear streaks that may appear on the screen during normal or slow speed playback or to reduce picture shaking in still mode. 181 • REC button Press to start recording. 191 Tape transport buttons +4 REW (rewind), t PLAY, 10-10- FF(fast-forward), ■ STOP, now PAUSE/STILL, *44 HIGH SPEED REWIND 101 QUICK TIMER button Press to start quick timer recording and to set the recording duration. 1 1 EDIT ON/OFF button Normally keep this button at OFF (i.e. the EDIT indicator is off in the display window).
