Connection/Settings Connecting to a Wireless Network By connecting this unit to a wireless network or the Internet, you can play back photos or music stored on a computer or in a Web photo organizer on the Internet. Hint The reception icon is displayed when the information bar is at the top of the screen. The reception icon shows the strength of the network signal, many bars around the antenna show a stronger signal. To connect to a wireless network, the WLAN ON-OFF switch must be set to ON. The factory default setting is ON. Note In order to set up your home wireless network connection, you need a wireless LAN router and a subscription to an Internet service provider. Checking the Type of Access Points If the access point device (wireless LAN router) supports AOSS, see "Setting with AOSS." Otherwise, see "Setting Manually" (page 54). About AOSS AOSS™ (AirStation One-Touch Secure System) is a technology developed by Buffalo Technology. The wireless LAN can be connected with an one-touch operation, and security is set automatically. Setting with AOSS If you use an access point that supports AOSS, set by the following steps. 1 Press HOME on the remote control. 2 Press on the remote control, select [ Settings] by pressing , and press (ENTER). 3 Select [ Network settings] by pressing on the remote control, and press (ENTER). The Network settings screen appears. 4 Select [Select a connection] by pressing on the remote control, and press (ENTER). 51
