On handling Memory Stick media Keep the following in mind to protect data on Memory Stick media. Do not touch a Memory Stick's connector with your finger or metallic objects. Do not attach a label to a Memory Stick other than the one supplied. Apply the label in the prescribed position on the Memory Stick. Use the storage case supplied with the Memory Stick media when carrying or storing. Do not bend, drop, or apply strong shock to a Memory Stick. Do not disassemble or modify a Memory Stick. Do not let a Memory Stick become wet. Do not use or store a Memory Stick in a location subject to: - Extremely high temperatures, such as in a car parked in the sun - Direct sunlight - High humidity or highly corrosive atmosphere On using Memory Stick Duo media Be careful not to apply excessive force when writing on the memo area of a Memory Stick Duo. Make sure the Memory Stick Duo is inserted facing in the correct direction. If you insert a Memory Stick Duo in the wrong direction, the Memory Stick slot and media may be damaged. Do not insert a Memory Stick and Memory Sick Duo at the same time. Doing so may damage the Memory Stick slot and media. On the AC adapter For your safety, do not use the AC adapter other than the AC adapter supplied with your unit. Do not use an electronic transformer (travel converter), as this may cause a malfunction. For your safety, do not use an AC adapter with a damaged cable. On using the software The software supplied with your unit is provided under the royalty contract and the license agreement, and unauthorized copying of the software by lending or borrowing is strictly prohibited by law. Be sure to read the software license agreement carefully before using the software. On cleaning your unit Before cleaning, turn off the unit, and then disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet. Wipe off any surface dirt or dust with a dry cloth. Be sure to wipe off the dirt or dust with a soft and dry cloth. If the surface is soiled, clean with a soft cloth lightly moistened with water, and then wipe the surface with a dry soft cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners containing benzene, acetone, alcohol or thinner as they may damage the surface. When using a chemical cloth, follow its instructions. On cleaning the LCD screen Avoid touching the LCD screen as it has a special coating. When cleaning, use a dry soft cloth and lightly wipe off. If the surface is soiled, clean with a soft cloth lightly moistened with water, and then wipe the surface with a dry soft cloth. Do not use a chemical cloth or chemical cleaners containing benzene, acetone, alcohol or thinner as they may damage the surface treatment of the screen. 74
