N Remove the strap (2) and skirt (3). Fitting the skirt 2 1 3 N Place the skirt (3) in position - it must be flush with the end of the deflector. N Fit the strap (2), insert the screws (1) and tighten them down firmly. 9924BA018 KN WARNING To reduce the risk of injury from a shattering blade: Do not attempt to straighten or weld a worn, bent or cracked blade - it may break - always install a new blade. WARNING Do not resharpen the blade. Checking Wear Check the angle (arrow) on the blade and the contour of the cutting edges. 9924BA026 KN A B C A New blade B Blade partly worn - still serviceable C Blade worn - install new blade Checking Out-of-Balance To avoid out-of-balance: N Have your dealer check the blade for out-of-balance on a STIHL balancer (special accessory) - STIHL recommends an authorized STIHL servicing dealer. Removing the skirt

Take out the screws (1).
N
Remove the strap (2) and skirt (3).
Fitting the skirt

Place the skirt (3) in position – it
must be flush with the end of the
deflector.

Fit the strap (2), insert the
screws (1) and tighten them down
firmly.
