Checking and Replacing the, Wear Guard

Removing the Blades 5 8 67 4 2 3 N Insert stop pin (2) - see "Special Accessories" - into hole (3) as far as stop to block the shaft. N Fit the combination wrench (5) on the screw (6). N Loosen the screw clockwise (lefthand thread) and take it out. N Remove the thrust washer (7). WARNING There is a risk of injury if the blade works loose. Collar (see arrow) of thrust plate must engage the blade's mounting hole. N Place thrust washer (7), raised side facing up, on the shaft (9) and block the shaft. N Fit screw (6) on the shaft counterclockwise (left-hand thread) and tighten it down firmly. N Check the wear guard (1) for damage before starting the power tool. N The wear guard must be replaced as soon as the gearbox (2) (arrow) becomes visible. NOTICE The gearbox may be seriously damaged if you do not replace the wear guard in good time. FB 131 27

Removing the Blades
N
Insert stop pin (2) – see "Special
Accessories" – into hole (3) as far
as stop to block the shaft.
N
Fit the combination wrench (5) on
the screw (6).
N
Loosen the screw clockwise (left-
hand thread) and take it out.
N
Remove the thrust washer (7).
N
Remove and replace the blade (8).
Mounting the Blade
N
Position the blade (8) on the thrust
plate (4).
WARNING
There is a risk of injury if the blade works
loose. Collar (see arrow) of thrust plate
must engage the blade's mounting hole.
N
Place thrust washer (7), raised side
facing up, on the shaft
(9) and block
the shaft.
N
Fit screw (6) on the shaft
counterclockwise (left-hand thread)
and tighten it down firmly.
Checking the wear guard
N
Check the wear guard (1) for
damage before starting the power
tool.
N
The wear guard must be replaced
as soon as the gearbox (2) (arrow)
becomes visible.
NOTICE
The gearbox may be seriously damaged
if you do not replace the wear guard in
good time.
