Replacing the Cutting Blade 1 A CB Do not attempt to straighten or weld a bent or cracked blade - it may break - it must be replaced - see "Mounting the Cutting Blade". STIHL recommends you use only original STIHL cutting blades - see "Special Accessories". Do not resharpen the blade. N Replace the blade (1) if its length (A) is no longer sufficient to maintain the necessary ground clearance (B) and obtain the required depth of cut (C). Checking out-of-balance 241BA019 KN Inspections and Maintenance by Dealer Spark Arresting Screen in Muffler Spark arresting screen in muffler (not all markets) N If the engine is down on power, check the spark arresting screen in the muffler. STIHL recommends that you have servicing and repair work carried out exclusively by an authorized STIHL servicing dealer. To avoid out-of-balance: N Have your dealer check the blade for out-of-balance on a STIHL balancer (special accessory) - STIHL recommends an authorized STIHL servicing dealer.
