Fueling Opening the cap English / USA Closing the cap : Raise the grip until it is upright. : Fit the cap - grip upright -marks must line up. : Turn the cap clockwise as far as stop (approx. a quarter turn). Before fueling, clean the filler cap and the area around it to ensure that no dirt falls into the tank. Always thoroughly shake the mixture in the canister before fueling your machine. In order to reduce the risk of burns or other personal injury from escaping gas vapor and fumes, remove the fuel filler cap carefully so as to allow any pressure build-up in the tank to release slowly. : Turn the cap counterclockwise (approx. a quarter turn). : Remove the filler cap. : Fold the grip flush with the top of the cap. : If the grip does not lie completely flush with the cap and the detent on the grip does not engage the recess in the filler neck, the cap is not properly seated and tightened and you must repeat the above steps.
