Listening to an External Source Wake Up Timer See pages 6 - 7 "Connections". 1 Connect a portable audio player to the AUDIO jacks using the supplied RCA pin-stereo mini plug cable (pages 6 - 7 D ). The unit can be programmed to turn on and standby at a specified time. You can set the unit to play an iPod/iPhone, FM/AM radio or a USB flash memory. You can also set two separate timers with ALARM 1 and ALARM 2. 2 Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to select "AUX". Setting the wake up timer The procedures below are to set ALARM 1. Follow similar steps to set ALARM 2. o This operation is available in every sound source. 1 Press and hold the ALARM 1 button for more than 2 seconds. 3 Play the source, and adjust the volume using the VOLUME buttons and the connected portable audio player. Example: Hold down more than 2 sec. < When using the headphones jack of the component, if you do not adjust its volume, you might not hear any sound from SR-80i. < Turning the volume of the connected component up too high might cause the sound from SR-80i to be distorted. In this case, reduce the volume of the component until the distortion stops and then adjust the volume level of SR-80i to a comfortable listening level. "ON TIME" appears on the display. The clock hour value and the wake up timer indicator ( ) blink. o If no button is pressed for more than 10 seconds, the wake up timer setting mode will be cancelled. 2 Press the Skip (. // ) buttons to set the on time (hour), and then press the ALARM 1 button. The minutes value blinks. 26
