BASICS MONITORING AROUND THE BASE You can monitor the room where the base unit is located using the handset. 1 Press the (NTCOM) button on the handset. 2 While the beep sounds, press the (TALK) button on the handset. 3 When you finish monitoring, press the (TALK) button. NOTES: • The monitor function is available only for the handset side when both handset and base unit are in standby status. (The room in which the handset is located cannot be monitored from the base unit.) • If you want to cancel the room monitor function after pressing the (INTCOM) button in step I above, press the (NTCOM) button on the handset again before pressing the (TALK) button in step 2. THREE-WAY CONVERSATION The FT-7257 allows you to carry on a 3-way conversation. The 3-way calling status can have the following patterns: • Handset + Line I + Line 2 • Base unit + Line I + Line 2 • Handset + Base unit + Line I • Handset + Base unit + Line 2 ED 36

monitor

the
handset.

handset.
While
the
beep

(TALK)
button

handset.

monitoring,

the
(TALK)
button.
NOTES:
•
The
monitor
function
