INTRODUCTION FEATURES Toshiba America Consumer Products takes pride in presenting the FT-7257 cordless telephone.You can connect two telephone lines to the FT-7257 base unit which enables you to carry on 2 different conversations on separate lines simultaneously, one from the handset and the other from the base unit (parallel conversation function). The Toshiba FT-7257 also enables a conversation between 3 or 4 persons using the base unit, handset, line I, and line 2 (3-way/4-way conversation function). Other features are summarized below. • Speed dialing for up to 20 numbers (10 each for base unit and handset) • 25-channel auto scanning with manual change capability. • Security code randomly selected from 65536 possible combinations. • Dialkeys on both base unit and handset. • Auto Line Select function automatically selects and connects the line when the TALK or SPEAKER button is pressed. • Auto Standby function automatically puts the FT-7257 in standby mode when the handset is simply placed in its cradle on the base unit during a phone conversation. • Two-way intercom function enables paging and talking between the base unit and handset.This function can also be used to transfer a line which is put on hold at the handset (or base unit). • Privacy function inhibits interruption of the currently engaged line from the is handset (or base unit). • Mute function turns off the microphone of handset or base unit to prevent a caller from hearing your voice and any other sound in the room. • Speaker phone 7
