56 Getting Started Checking the internal storage drive operating status Checking the internal storage drive operating status After restoring your internal storage drive, you can check its status as follows: 1 Click Start button and, in the Search field, type Computer Management. In the list that appears above, click on your selection. 2 Click Disk Management. Installing drivers and applications The TOSHIBA Application Installer allows you to reinstall the drivers and applications that were originally bundled with your computer. To reinstall drivers and applications: 1 Click the Start button and, in the Search field, type TOSHIBA Application Installer. In the list that appears above, click on your selection. 2 Click Next. 3 Click the item you want to install. 4 Click Install. 5 Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process. Connecting an external device You can easily attach an external device your computer. To do this: 1 Read the directions that came with the device to see if you first need to install new software. 2 Connect the device's video or USB cable to the port on the computer and to the device. 3 Connect the device's power cable to a live electrical outlet (if applicable). 4 Turn on the external device (if applicable). Your computer may automatically detect the external device.

Checking the internal storage drive operating status
After restoring your internal storage drive, you can check its status
as follows:

Click
Start
button and, in the Search field, type
Computer
Management
. In the list that appears above, click on your
selection.

Click
Disk Management
.
Installing drivers and applications
The TOSHIBA Application Installer allows you to reinstall the
drivers and applications that were originally bundled with your
computer.
To reinstall drivers and applications:

Click the
Start
button and, in the Search field, type
TOSHIBA
Application Installer
. In the list that appears above, click on
your selection.

Click
Next
.

Click the item you want to install.

Click
Install
.

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation
process.
Connecting an external device
You can easily attach an external device your computer.
To do this:
