This DVD Super Multi (+-R DL) drive cannot use discs that allow writing faster than 8x speed (DVD-R, DVD+R and DVD+RW media), 6x speed (DVD-RW media), 5x speed (DVD-RAM media) and 4x speed (DVD-R DL and DVD-R DL media). ■ If the disc is poor in quality, dirty or damaged, writing or rewriting errors may occur. Be careful to check the disc for dirt or damage before you use it. ■ The actual number of rewrites to CD-RW, DVD-RW, DVD+RW or DVDRAM is affected by the quality of the disc and the way it is used. ■ There are two types of DVD-R discs: authoring and general use discs. Do not use authoring discs. Only general use discs can be written to by a computer drive. ■ We can support only format 1 of DVD-R DL. Therefore you can not do the additional writing. If your data is under DVD-R(SL) capacity, we suggest to use DVD-R(SL) media. ■ You can use DVD-RAM discs that can be removed from a cartridge and DVD-RAM discs designed without a cartridge. You cannot use a disc with a 2.6 GB single-sided capacity or 5.2 GB double-sided capacity. ■ Other DVD-ROM drives for computers or other DVD players may not be able to read DVD-R/-R DL/-RW or DVD+R/+R DL/+RW discs.
