Introduction Slots Bridge Media Slot Multimedia This slot lets you insert an SD™/SDHC™ memory card, Memory Stick™(PRO™/PRO Duo™ ), xD-Picture Card™, and MultiMediaCard™. Web Camera Sound System Headphone jack Microphone Jack Record/Send still or video images with this integrated Web Camera. The integrated sound system provides support for the computer's internal speakers and microphone, as allowing an external microphone and headphones to be connected via the appropriate jacks. A 3.5 mm mini headphone jack enables connection of stereo headphones. A 3.5 mm mini microphone jack enables connection of a three-conductor mini jack for monaural microphone input. Communications LAN Wireless LAN The computer has built-in support for Ethernet LAN (10 megabits per second, 10BASE-T) and Fast Ethernet LAN (100 megabits per second, 100BASE-TX). The Wireless LAN feature is not available on all models. Where present, it supports the b,g standards and n* draft2.0 but it is compatible with other LAN systems based on Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum / Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing radio technology that complies with the IEEE 802.11 Standard. * Depends on the installed Wireless LAN module. ■ Roaming over multiple channels ■ Card Power Management ■ Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) data encryption, based on 128 bit encryption algorithm. ■ Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) data encryption, based on 256 bit encryption algorithm.
