Operation 8 The EXTERNAL BATTERY TYPE selection screen will appear. EXTERNAL BATTERY TYPE refers to the ability for the UPS to become aware of which external battery pack is connected to the UPS. Setting the external battery configuration enhances the accuracy of the MINUTES RUNTIME countdown during power failure conditions. The LCD interface supports no external batteries with the factory configuration of BP0. Two additonal LCD configurable external battery pack options are available under the user selection of BP0, BP1 & BP2. See the table to determine whether BP1 or BP2 applies to your external battery pack. If your battery pack is not listed or you are using more than one of any supported external battery pack, you must use Tripp Lite's EXTERNAL BATTERY CONFIGURATION TOOL software available for download at this link: http://www.tripplite.com/bpconfig NOTE: Use the BP0 setting if you plan to use the EXTERNAL BATTERY CONFIGURATION TOOL software. After the software configuration is run, the UPS LCD screen will report "BPC". The UPS can be reset from BPC to BP0, BP1 or BP2 settings via the LCD screen, but once the new configuration is set, you'll need to run EXTERNAL BATTERY CONFIGURATION TOOL software again to re-configure back to the unique BPC setting. VIEW ALTERNATE SETTINGS To VIEW IP address information in 3 digit segments, press the SETUP button repeatedly (less than 1 second).
