TB146 EC 4-Cycle Electric Start Capable Cultivator Operator's Manual English - Page 1 Unpacking the Unit Assembling the Unit Wheel Bracket Wheel Assembly Clevis Pin 1 Remove all contents from the carton. 2 Insert the wheel assembly into the wheel bracket. The "J" shape of the wheel assembly should point away from the unit. 3 Cotter Pin Align the hole in the wheel bracket with the desired hole in the wheel assembly. Insert the clevis pin through the aligned holes. Insert the cotter pin into the clevis pin. 4 Loosen the two handlebar knobs. Swing the handlebars up into the operating position. NOTE: Do not pinch the throttle cable or switch wires. Assembling the Unit Handlebar Knobs Starting the Unit 5 Tighten the two handlebar knobs to secure the handlebars. Readjust the throttle cable and switch wires. NOTE: Do not over tighten the handlebar knobs. Starting the Unit Primer Bulb 6 Set the unit on a flat, level surface. Unscrew the oil fill plug. Pour the entire bottle of oil into the oil fill hole. Reinstall the oil fill plug. NOTE: DO NOT overfill. Never add oil directly into the fuel tank. DO NOT mix oil with gasoline. 7 Place the unit on a level surface. Remove the fuel cap. Fill the fuel tank. Replace the fuel cap. Move the unit at least 30 ft. (9.1 m) from the fuel container and the fueling site before starting the engine. NOTE: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (less than 30 days old). 8 DO NOT Squeeze the throttle control. 10 X 19 Press primer bulb 10 times, or until fuel is visible 10 Stand in starting position. WARNING: Tines WILL ROTATE on START. Always stand in starting position with foot on wheel when starting the unit. 11 DO NOT squeeze the throttle control. Pull starter rope in controlled motion until unit starts. Wait 60 seconds. 12 Then squeeze the throttle control for an additional 30 to 60 seconds to let the engine warm up further. The unit may be used during this period. NO ASSEMBLY TOOLS REQUIRED Electric Starter or Power Start Bit Optional! THESE OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES ARE SOLD SEPARATELY!
