There is a $0.99 per minute charge for using the SmartScan database. The frequencies in the SmartScan database are updated, at a minimum, every 6 to 12 months. To get current frequencies, as well as special /sporting event frequencies, regularly update your scanner by using SmartScan. NOTE: If you are unable to dial a "900" number, check with your local phone company to find out if you have a "900" block on your phone line. This will prevent you from dialing to the server. 65
