Setting EDACS Emergency Alert When the emergency status is sent on an EDACS radio, you can have your scanner alert you to the transmission. 2:SCAN OPTION → 2:TRUNK → Select the bank → 9:EMERGENCY ALT 1:ON The scanner beeps three times to alert you and flashes EMERGENCY during emergency transmissions. 2:OFF The scanner does not handle emergency transmissions any differently than other transmissions.
