Connecting to the Internet Connecting the Media Center to the Internet access has many advantages, including access to online Media Center resources and information. Another important advantage is access to an online EPG (Electronic Programming Guide), which will provide TV program information two weeks before shows are aired. In order to connect to the Internet, you need to have an existing Broadband Internet connection, such as cable or DSL, or a networked PC with a dial-up modem. You can connect to your home network directly using an Ethernet cable (wired) or using a wireless connection. • Wired Connection: Connect the supplied Ethernet LAN cable from the Ethernet (RJ-45) port on the back of the Media Center to the Ethernet port in your existing Broadband modem or home network. Wireless Connection: If you have an existing wireless network, use a USB cable to connect a Wireless USB Adapter (purchased separately) to one of the USB ports on the back of the Media Center. NOTE: For more information about connecting to a wireless network, refer to your USB network adapter's user guide. • Example of a wireless USB network adapter (purchased separately) 16 ViewSonic NextVision TM M2000 Digital Media Center
